Full Screen iPod Video Fake

Full Screen Video iPod Fake

Last week I saw this image floating around the net of a new prototype full screen video iPod. I didn’t think much of it, because I just assumed it was a manipulated image. As it turns out, it is fake and here is a nice little video showing the “faking process“.

What I find interesting is the lengths this person went to, not only to try and push his image to the forefront, but also in documenting the process so that a week later, attention could be drawn once again to their work—essentially doubling the mileage of the forgery.

The video showing that the picture was fake was anccually in its self faked. Some guys on a show called “Attack of the Show” acctuall showed the video of them faking the video about faking the picture. They were just trying to see if it would look the same. A Key Point in the video was that on the bar code there was no number “7″ written in black ink.

What a bunch of nonsense. The only reason there was a difference between the image as seen above, and the video that showed how the fake image was produced, is simply that the video was made _after_ the image, just to show how it was done. Look here:

The user “arnebik” says “Yes, THE photo and the video were made by me (I have the PSD files, so…). The video was faked just to show how it had been done. That’s why there is a difference in handwriting etc.”
