Unsuspecting Interviewees Angry at Ali G.

November 12th, 2006

MSNBC is running a story about the unethical tactics used in the filming of Borat. One of the victims, Linda Stein, has published an article about her encounter with the guerrilla comedian.

Also relevant is the story of two embarrassed frat boys who in response to this AskMetafilter forum are suing 20th Century Fox, and three other production companies.

    Linda Stein,

I cant believe what i just read. This woman no doubt has not seen this movie and probably wont see it ever. The first rule of contracts is read them, not only was she sceptical but that would only make me want to read the fine print. Secondly common lady im sorry that you felt confused and SAD but doesn’t everyone after they get duped by someone that is smarter then them? I just find this ridiculously amusing due to the fact that this movie is a huge cultural eye opener (if your american and realize that it is making fun of you) just as Team america was (i still cant believe that people dont see this as an american bash) or bowling for columbine (an amazing documentary on the seeming stupidity of americans in general). If i could say one thing to this lady of the “superior gender” (i liked the dig at us guys by the way you egalitarian hypocritical bitch) it would be, grow up dont look for sympathy just cause you got duped and feel stupid about it. Be happy that you got more exposure for your “cause” or your art through these 5 minutes or less that you were on camera in front of millions for years and years to come. Goodnight Linda!
