The Big Picture Debate on Dawkins’ “Root of Evil”

August 4th, 2007

The Big PictureI’ve talked about Richard Dawkins’ documentary The Root of Evil before, but something I came across the other day which I found very interesting (and coincidentally an acquaintance of mine is a producer for Avi’s other show, On The Map,) is The Big Picture: Debate on Dawkins’ Root of Evil.

When a person makes the accusation that religion is the greatest cause of misery in the world, you can be sure that he is a redneck igorant s.o.b..

  2. Jeff Milner says:

Or possibly you can be sure the producer of the show made him call it that… as you would have known if you’d actually watched the whole clip.

  3. Matthew W. I. Dunn says:

I watched the first 15 minutes. Maybe, I missed something, but why was there no representative of the Catholic Church. You’ve got a conservative Evangelical Protestant and a liberal United Church theologian.

All these historical controversies that Dawkins mentions: The Catholic Church was there — not the UCC or Canadian Christian College.
