What the heck is the Elkwater Ski Racing Club?

The ELKWATER SKI RACING CLUB has been operating in Medicine hat since 1989. They believe in affordable ski racing and whole family participation. They are affiliated with Alberta Alpine division of the Canadian Ski Association and participate in intra-club, inter-club and provincial ski racing. The Elkwater Ski Racing Club uses the Nancy Greene Learn to Ski Program and the Husky Skill Award Program to teach the kids to ski and race safely.

My experience with the Elkwater Ski Racing Club!

 The Elkwater Ski Racing club has brought me a lot. I came to the club 5 years ago. Then, I was only a snowplower. I moved up through the Nancy Greene Racing Program progressing rapidily. After two years I moved up to the Juvenile Bronze racing program, kids aged 11-14. We went away to mountain races and competed against other Alberta clubs. The next year I moved up to the Junior racing program, ages 15-18. The year after that I took my level one and became a racing coach. I coached the the Juvenile Bronze racers. We went to several mountain races and had some excellent finishes. It is now Summer and I am itching to get back on skis next season. Look for me again coaching the Juvenile Bronze racers. This coming season we are expecting over 20 class racers. So I hope we have a good season. Check out some of their Results.
