This account had a ring of truth to it. This man's testimony goes a long way in explaining why people would shoot at the rescuers. Up till now I couldn't think of a reason people would be so crazy. The part about not allowing the victoms to walk out of the city on their own takes the cake. This part would be harder to believe had I not seen the same thing right here in Medicine Hat during one of our floods. All this notwithstanding, I saw out of control looting on the news with people stealing anything they could carry. They were stealing attractive stuff like new clothes and other expensive stuff not related to survival. Maybe these rotten guys spoiled the survival effort for everybody.
