Stairway to Heaven Backwards

I posted a link to my Stairway to Heaven Backwards page and got what I consider to be a pretty uninformed comment from someone by the nick “steal my handle”.

Here is what he/she has to say:

“too bad thats fake if you listen to the song backwards it dosent really say that, this guy just chopped up syllables to make it say that! and the beat wouldnt sound like that either! and why do you think he has it in flash? so you cant download it and reverse it!”

The fact of the matter is that I really did download Stairway to Heaven, then found the particular section of the song shown on the page, reversed it and got the reverse message as you hear it. I left the instructions right on the page explaining how to do it, but just remember if you are to do this yourself, don’t use the live version because I originally tried it with the live version and it didn’t work. I’ve been thinking that maybe I should put up an MP3 of the short forward clip so that people can test it for themselves. But not right now because the car is running (it’s -35 out and I’m keeping it warm) and we are off to a party.

Stairway to Heaven … BACKWARDS!

I’ve been getting a lot (relatively speaking) of attention lately from my backmasking flash page. I updated it so that it only shows the backwards lyrics after hitting a button and I added a page counter so that I can find out how much attention I’m really getting.

New Additions

I added a Stairway to Heaven flash clip, that I made a while ago, to the New Media section. It plays a clip forward and then if you click on reverse, it plays the same clip backwards. I think you might find it interesting, but this by no means implies I worship satan, just in case you thought it did. I also added a joke section and a few jokes and riddles that I have collected.

Update: The blog has changed a lot since then and you can now find my Stairway to Heaven backwards here.

The Power of Procrastination

I think that if more people were aware of the power of procrastination to get things done it would be much more popular. For example, a couple of weeks ago I had a Water Safety Instructor homework assignment, but instead of doing it I procrastinated and as a result, got my laundry done, the dishes done, the house clean, and worked on some of my other homework that wouldn’t be due for days. Just goes to show if I hadn’t been procrastinating I wouldn’t have gotten any of it done.

Anna is leaving for the duration of reading week to go down to the States with her family. I’m not really sure what I’m going to do, but I guess I’ll have plenty of time to clean the house while procrastinating my homework.

Since pointless flash pages seem to generate a lot of traffic (for some sites) here is my Stairway to Heaven Link. Hopefully you find it helpful, or at least interesting.
